How to get to Expéditions Rivière Noire^®

Michel Pouliot established the base camp of Expéditions Rivière Noire® at kilometer 25.5 directly on the shores of the Noire River, in the municipality of Waltham (Quebec). It is at approximately 150 km from Gatineau/Ottawa, 30 km from Fort-Coulonge, and 50 km from Pembroke.

From Fort-Coulonge (Quebec):

From the Marchand red covered bridge as a reference point (do not cross the bridge):

2.5 km on Highway 148 West up to Chemin du Lac de la Truite; turn right;
14.5 km on Chemin du Lac de la Truite up to Chemin de la Rivière Noire; turn right;
8.5 km on Chemin de la Rivière Noire up to Chemin du Lac Vert; turn right (do not cross the small bridge);
1 km on Chemin du Lac Vert up to South Shore Drive; turn left up to Michel Pouliot - Expéditions Rivière Noire®.

From Pembroke (Ontario):

Cross over to the Province of Quebec, towards the Isle-aux-Allumettes;
± 22 km on Highway 148 East up to Chemin de la Rivière Noire (passed the village of Waltham); turn left;
18 km on Chemin de la Rivière Noire up to Chemin du Lac Vert; turn right (do not cross the small bridge);
1 km on Chemin du Lac Vert up to South Shore Drive; turn left up to Michel Pouliot - Expéditions Rivière Noire®.

From Ottawa or Renfrew (Ontario):

Highway 417 West to Highway 17 West up to Renfrew;
Highway 17 West up to Storyland Road;
Highway 301 North (towards the Province of Quebec) up to Portage-du-Fort;
Highway 148 West up to Fort-Coulonge, and follow above directions from Fort-Coulonge.

From Gatineau (Quebec):

Highway 148 West up to Fort-Coulonge, and follow above directions from Fort-Coulonge.

From Maniwaki (Quebec):

Highway 105 up to Kazabazua;
Highway 301 South (towards Danford Lake) up to Campbell’s Bay;
Highway 148 West up to Fort-Coulonge, and follow above directions from Fort-Coulonge.
